Wagner/Verdi – Koriyama (Japan)

Next year I travel back to Japan. Last time I was there I was struck by the warm and congenial working atmosphere.

I will direct the scene of the Gods from »Rheingold« and the first act of Verdi’s »Otello« – pivotal moments full of challenge for every director. I am joined in this project by the Japanese conductor Masayuki Honda in collaboration with the Orchestra of the City of Koriyama, guest soloists from Tokyo and the local choral society.
